Farm Wedding at Secret Garden Weddings a Michigan Wedding Venue

Q:  Can we include our pet in our ceremony?

We love our pets and we love it when couples include their pets in their wedding. Please make sure to clean up after your pet and we recommend having them here for the ceremony only.

Q:  Do you provide catering?

No, but you can choose a caterer of your choice as long as they are professional or we do have a wonderful vendor list to help make your planning very easy.

Q:  Is Alcohol Allowed?

Yes, but it must be served by a licensed bartender. See our Vendor list of suggestions.

Q:  A lot of our guests are coming from out of town. Where would they stay?

There are many choices for guest accommodations in the area. There's a hotel and a bed and breakfast in Marine City and lots of vacation rentals in the area. See our vendor list for more suggestions.

Q:  Do you have a ceremony backup plan for inclement weather?

Yes, the ceremony will take place under the tent.

Q:  Can we use the grounds for our pre-wedding photoshoot?

If you've booked your wedding with us we welcome you to schedule your pre-wedding photography session here. Not having your wedding here? That's okay, you can schedule your session here for a $200 photography fee.

Q:  Can we set up yard games?

Absolutely! Check with us on specific games you're planning to have so we make sure to accommodate the space in your event layout.

Q:  What time do couples normally schedule their wedding ceremony?

The wedding day timeline is yours to plan. We do recommend that the wedding ceremony take place between 3:30 and 5:00 p.m. to give you & your vendors time to get ready & set up and get the most out of your day.

Q:  Do you require an event insurance policy?

Yes. You'll need a 1-day event policy. A certificate must be provided no less than 60 days prior to the event date. Please contact your insurance agent for more information or you can work directly with ours.

Q:  Why do you limit events to 100 guests?

We could tell you that our events are limited to 100 guests or less to minimize any impact on our gardens and grounds. This would be true, but really we love intimate weddings. Dying to have your larger wedding here, contact us for a quote.
